The Hampshire County Health Department has been directed by the West Virginia State Health Department to plan for response to all hazards, and to integrate the response with that of local Office of Emergency Services (OES), Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
The Hampshire County Medical Volunteer Corps (HCMVC) has been established by the Hampshire County Health Department to help coordinate human resources that may be used during a public health emergency. The HCMVC is currently working with local emergency planners, existing emergency response agencies, and community partners to establish, coordinate, and train volunteers so we can better respond to widespread disasters and improve community health education.
Any interested persons with skills in the medical field would be welcome to participate in this process. Please click the button below to sign up today. We would love to have you!
